I'm not one for sweets, so consider my "Why I Write" piece the invigorating cup of espresso finishing off a savory four course smorgisborg. Start with salad. Of course. Delicate, intricate, but--no less--just an appetizer to get those GI enzymes rolling. Move onto soup. Many of the herbs in my salad are present again. A little bit of dietary consistency prevents stomach aches, you know. But soup is hot, so some tongues may get burned. Lastly, a fine cut of ribeye. Not the most expensive meat, no doubt. But carefully seasoned.
